My son enjoys going to drum lessons weekly with Martin and over a short period has learnt a lot , we feel Martin gets the best out of the people he teaches as he is patient, dedicated and obviously has a lot of experience teaching a variety of people, which definitely helps the child learn. He also takes the time to explain what your child has learnt over the session at the end of the lesson which is extremely helpful and also explains the progress. We are very glad our son is being taught by him

I've been taught by Martin for the past 4 years, from absolute beginner up to Trinity Rock and Pop Grade 5 with distinction. I really like Martin's teaching - it's fun and focussed. I really like that he doesn't just "teach to pass the exam" and encourages students to be comfortable with the techniques before taking exams. Since Covid, I've been having my lessons online on Zoom. Martin has a great setup that allows him to show both his foot work and overhead when demonstrating. I'd recommend him for younger students too - he had a really great way with my son when he was 5. Again, making it fun, but really building up the skills without him even realising. I feel very lucky to have found Martin as my first drum teacher 🥁🤘

We have been using Martin as our drum teacher for 8 years now, teaching 2 children and an adult. Martin is able to adapt his teaching to any age and very good at putting people at their ease. My son is currently working on grade 7. I would highly recommend for teaching drums at all levels.

Martin is an excellent teacher whether face to face in his studio or over zoom, and I’ve really enjoyed my time being taught by him. I’ve loved drumming since I was a teenager, so it’s been great to rediscover it in my middle age with Martin’s help. I’d recommend him to literally anyone looking to start drumming or playing any percussion instrument.
